Workshops
Round 1: 7:20pm

Getting Into Research Panel:

Hear 3 undergraduate researchers speak about how they got involved in research through WorkLearn, summer positions and Co-Op. Great choice for students looking to get involved in research for the first time.

Careers in Neuroscience Panel:

Hear from a psychiatry resident who recently finished her MD, a physiotherapist pursuing a Ph.D. and a Postdoc who is starting her own research lab. This is a great workshop for students wondering what to do after they graduate.

Using R in Neuroscience Research:
Learn the basics of R, a powerful statistical software, and how its applications can be used in neuroscience research. No prior experience in statistics or coding required.

Poster presentations:

Browse posters on original research done by UBC undergraduates. You can also join individual zoom rooms to talk with the researchers one-on-one. This is a good choice for students who want to learn about current research happening at UBC or network with undergraduate researchers.

Round 2: 7:50pm

Artificial Intelligence Workshop:

Join students from UBC's Turing Club as they introduce students to important foundational concepts of Artificial Intelligence (AI). No prior experience necessary.

Life After Undergrad Panel:

Hear from current medical students, grad students in Neuroscience and a recent integrated science grad turned UX/UI designer. This is a great choice for students who are applying to grad school or looking for options after they graduate!
